I finally re-touched my hair! Yasssssss. I've been a redhead for about two years now and I just can't leave it yet. I usually aim for a dark auburn hair color and I have always gotten it done at the salon up until now. I decided to do my color at home because this last time I went to the salon I just didn't like it y un caraje qu me dio.. So I was like fxck it, let's do this at home. I drop a bill on my hair and the at home treatment was only $30! So here are the products I used.

Lilac Love

I was feeling a bit uninspired today and just asked a friend to pick a color, so purple it was! I looked through all the pallettes I have and decided to use the Jaclyn Hill Pallette by Morphe. I was going to do a dark purple look but then I saw this lilac color and wondered how I could use it... sometimes you just gotta wing it (:

Neutral Eye w/ Green- Wet ‘n’ Wild Comfort Zone

Hello Beauties! So for today, I made it a focus to use the Wet ‘n’ Wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette
I often use a lot of drugstore makeup, except when it comes to the eyes. I just tend to reach for my larger palettes, and the drugstore has only recently started to release larger palettes.

Vamp- Revealed 2 Week

Loves! Today I have something different for you all. I channeled my inner vampire and brought forth this vampy glam look.
When I began to do my makeup I had no clue it was going to turn out like this. Unlike most days, I actually had a plan. I had a specific look I was going for. But once I drew than inner cat-eye accent, the look changed into this darker and sexier version of the wide-eyed gold eyelid look I had in mind.

Cranberry Smokey Eye: Revealed 2 Week

Hello Beauties!
For today's Revealed 2 look, I have a cranberry smokey eye for you all.
This is such a beautiful look that can be transitioned from day to night. As it is now, I think it is completely daytime appropriate; of course you could switch out the lip for a lighter color if you think it's a bit much.

All about Brow Products!

Who loves a good brow? If you don't, you should. A good brow will frame your face and eyes. I, for one, can never skip out on the brows. In a perfect world, i'd have my brows arched and carved and just glammed to the max all the time. Realistically, aint nobody got time for that.

Today i'll be showing you some of my favorite brow products, ranging from natural to glam finishes and also in different price ranges. I'll also be sharing some of my favorite brow tools.

Colored Eyeliner? Get the trend for less featuring Jordana Cat Eyeliner

Hello Beauties! I know we have all seen colored eyeliner all over Instagram and social media lately. With Anastasia Beverly Hill's release of the her new bright colored cream eyeliners and later the "Killer Colors" campaign by Benefit cosmetics starring their They're Real! Push-Up Liners in colors, it's safe to say that colored eyeliner has become popular.
If you're someone like me who can't justify spending around or over $20 for an eyeliner that you would not be wearing everyday, and you're not about that daily colored eyeliner life, then I have the perfect thing for you!

Jordana Cat Eyeliner for only $2.99
*found this image off Google

This is a product that won't break the bank and will give you that fun liner look! If you are not sure if you would find yourself wearing colored liner often but want to try it, these are great! Likewise, if you have always loves colored eyeliner, these are still great! Basically what I mean is whether you are experimenting with colored eyeliner for the first time or are very into this type of liner, these are so good for the price.
I only have four out of the total color range to share with you all today. Instead of swatches, i'll be showing them off with makeup looks we created using these liners.

Purple and Pink lips

Hello Beauties, this look is an easy and pretty look to try for a day out.
Face: I used Loreal True Match Foundation(W3) with a damp wedge sponge (my alternative for a beauty blender), along with the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer in Light. I set my make-up with the Rimmel Stay Matter powder. I use the color "Silky Beige". I applied the NYX Matter Bronzer in Medium under my cheekbones and I used ELF's Blush color Mellow Mauve of the apples of my cheeks. I applied Sonia Kashuk highlight color in Sparkling Sands. For brows I applied NYX EyeBrow cake powder kit in auburn. I apply the gel on first then the darker color in the kit with an angled brush, and finish by grooming them out with the spoolie brush.
Eyes: I used neutrals in the Lorac pallette. First I applied Taupe and Mauve as transition colors in the crease. Then I applied Mabelline's color tattoo in Vintage Plum on the lid. This color is really nice but needs to be put on with a lot of coats to get the true color and ensure the its evenly applied. Finally to add some dimension I put a little of the color Sable in the crease. Wing liner is Nyx Matte Liner in Black and I used the Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
Lips: The pink color is LA Girls lip paint in Bombshell. If you haven't tried these lip paints, they are amazing and such a steal!

ULTA Matte Lip Cream Reviews

It is quite obvious that there is an obsession with liquid lipsticks and there are both high end and more affordable alternatives if you are curious (or also obsessed) with these products. My first liquid lipstick purchase was with these ULTA Matte Lip Creams and I really like the formula for these products. They are sold for $9.00 and there are currently ten colors in the collection. The formula does go on smooth and takes about ten minutes to fully dry. The lasting power is 4-5 hours. It is definitely very matte so be sure to prep your lips before in order to avoid cracks. I picked up four colors, so let me break it down for you:
I picked up "Passionate" which is the true red color and has blue undertones in it. This is my favorite bold red to wear and I like it better than any red lipstick I have because it stays on longer. I also worry less about it getting on my teeth once it dries which is a huge plus! The second and third picture is how the red looks when just applied, it then dries tot the bold color seen in the last picture.

The second color I purchased was "Striking". This is pink color with some soft purple hues in it but is still a bold color. I fell in love with this color when I first wore it! It is a good color when I am feeling lazy and just want to put liner on with a nice lippy.
My least favorite color was "Allusive". "Allusive" is a dark cool purple color. I chose this color to try and get out of my comfort zone. A dark purple lip is so bold and edgy when it's done right, unfortunately this color does not apply evenly with one coat and when you try to add more product it ends up looking terrible. The color is too streaky and personally I don't like how it looked on my skin tone. You can see on the picture with the swatches on my arm that the color does not come out even with one swipe as the others do.
I have saved the best for last: "Stirring" is everythinggggggggg. This color comes out very dark when applied but dries to an amazing deeper than wine red. I love deep red colors, maybe its the inner chola in me but I think it is flattering on all skin tones and makes a statement anywhere. I literally wear this color to work, mind you to only to clean tables but I look like a baddie doing it! I recommend this color the most, out of all the colors I purchased.
Thank you for your time, comment if you enjoyed this review and would like us to do more!

Introductions (pt. 2)

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Yvonne. (Disclaimer: I'm not actually French.) First off, let me start by saying that I apologize in advance for my awkward words in this post. As I get deeper into the practice i'm sure i'll get better. Perhaps practice is not the right word, shall we say journey?
You may have already encountered my co-host here, Yessica. This is a journey that she pushed me into and I must say that if it wasn't for her, I might not have discovered my passion for makeup. It all started on a regular day during my freshman year of college... Well maybe those are words better saved for a different post.
As you may have already guessed, I, like Yessica, am a student at UCSB. As a student, I don't normally have too much time to do my makeup before class, however, i still manage to look good :D Likewise, I don't have too much money to be spending money on products so you can bet that I know of some products and tools that are affordable while still being amazing. I hope that my tips and tricks can help you all and that my looks can inspire you.

Cool tones have a special place in my heart...

When I first started out with make up I gravitated toward cool tones. I always loved to try and do a grey smokey eye but now I do more warm looks with a new love for warm red browns. For this look I used the Vice 3 palette from Urban Decay. While I love the colors in this palette, the quality isn't my favorite. I used the colors DTF, Downfall, Angel, and Defy. I started with Downfall as my transition color, then DTF in the outer corner. The intensity of DTF wasn't to my liking so I also added some of Defy to the crease to create more dimension. Lastly, I added Angel to my lid but again it was too dull. I sprayed a brush with some Mac Fix Plus and the color came out better. The liner I used was Loreal Super Liner felt tip pen. This has been my favorite liner for about a year, it helped me perfect my winged liner technique and I can now use all types of liquid liners! I highly suggest it for beginners. And for mascara I used the Better Than Sex by Too Faced. In my brows I have the NYX Eyebrow cake Powder in Auburn/Red. For the face I used Loreal True Match foundation, (I am the shade Nude Beige W3) along with the NYX bronzer that is not included in the picture because it shattered... a moment for all the broken bronzers...My blush is the Elf blush in Mellow Mauve. My favorite part of this look was the lips. I used the LA Girl Glaze Lip Paint in Babydoll, which I think pulled it all together. The color is really intense and more fun than a nude lip with this look. I am still figuring out how to write out the steps of my make up routine but I promise it will get better! (: -Yessica
