This look was not inspired by Barbie, but when I was finished with it, I was like "Wow, I am feeling like a Barbie!" Little did I know, Barbie rocks a pink crease, liner, lashes and a pink lip!
To make it truly more Barbie, I would have switched out the blush for a pink one, but like I said, that was not the look I was going for; It just sorta happened.
The eyes are pretty neutral so you could swap out the lip color to maybe a deeper one to make it a bit more dramatic. Likewise, adding a smokey lower lashline would amp up the look.
I kept everything pretty light. You could also skip the liner or aim for a smaller wing to make it more natural.
On the eyes:
NYC Liquid Liner in Black
On the Cheeks:
City Color Cosmetics Intense Blush Quad in Collection #4. ( I used the third blush)
On the Lips:
Jordanda Easyliner For Lips in Tawny
Here is the step by step breakdown.
- I started off by applying a combination of the two shades with the rose on them in my crease. This was done with a fluffy brush. I made sure that my crease was nice and pink before I went onto the next step.
- I then took a smaller tapered crease brush and some of the shade with the tulip on it. I put this right in the crease for definition.
- Because I wanted even more definition, I added the shade with the flamingo in the crease as well. I added just a small amount and focused it right in the eye socket since i wanted only to add definition and not cover the pink crease I was going for.
- Next I added the shade with the heart on it on my brow bone and onto my eyelid.
- I took my fluffy brush again and added a bit of the shades marked with the rose onto my crease. This was done to make sure all the edges were blended and that the crease was still strongly pink.
- I then added my winged eyeliner.
- Next I added my Ardell Wispies.
- To further brighten my eyes, I went in with some nude eyeliner in my waterline.
- Next i took the shade with the tulip and added it on my lower lashline for some definition.
- I added a bit of Nyx Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk to my inner corners. This was so the shadow I added on top would pop.
- I put the shade with the kiss in my inner corners on top of that white base.
- I then put mascara on my top and bottom lashes.
